T-Molding & Trim

Arcade T-Molding is a plastic “T” shaped molding used on the edges of a variety of arcade cabinets and gaming machines. Our T-Molding comes in a wide variety of sizes and colors to match your cabinet. It is easy to work with and can be glued down with a little bit of strategically placed hot glue from a glue gun. It can also be nailed down, although we recommend using wood screws. This will keep it from warping and help the adhesive hold better. Be careful not to overdo it with the glue, though. Too much will ruin the appearance of your restoration and make it a nightmare to remove in the future.

If you choose to nail the T-Molding down, use a fine tooth wood framing nailer and a good Other Arcade Parts supplier quality hammer. Before nailing, carefully measure the space for a snug fit. If you’re working on a particularly long piece, you may need to tape across it or weigh it down with heavy objects to prevent it from splitting while you nail it down.

This trim is an add-on product, meaning it is matched to the Tarkett vinyl color you select (it will not match your flooring exactly). It can be installed as a transition strip in doorways or between two floors that aren’t on the same level. It features a 1/2″ inset to accommodate the recommended 1/4″ expansion and contraction between luxury vinyl flooring and adjacent floors that aren’t on the same humidity level.

Ball Top

For best results, solder the LED’s resistor to the cathode (shorter leg) and put a bit of shrink tubing around the bottom of the handle to hold it in place. If your hollow shaft isn’t as long as the shaft on this joystick, you might have to remove a little from the bottom of the handle so that it fits the translucent ball top (see pic 4 courtesy of Youtube). This is standard 35mm threaded and will fit all Sanwa Denshi, Hori, or Seimitsu Joysticks.

Push Buttons

Push buttons, or simply push buttons, are simple switch mechanisms to control some aspect of a machine or process. They are typically made out of hard material, and are either flat or shaped to accommodate the human finger or hand so that it can easily be depressed or pushed. Illuminated push buttons have built-in LED indicators or backlighting to provide a high level of visibility for the switch location or current status. They are commonly integrated within calculators, push button phones and various domestic and workplace appliances.

Working Principle: When a push button is pressed, it compresses a spring mechanism, which allows two pairs of contacts to come into contact with Gashapon Machine each other and complete an electrical circuit. The contacts are held in contact by a moving armature, which moves through a case. The case also protects the internal switch mechanisms. The armature can be operated by external forces or movement, relayed to the operating part through a series of shafts attached to the pillar connecting rod and the return spring.

They are often color-coded to associate them with their function, such as red for stopping a machine, or green for starting it. Some are momentary, meaning they stay ON when pressed and only turn off when released.
